Domestic reupholstery and repairs are the bread and butter of the workshop. Here is what usually comes through the door, and what we do with it.

Full suite reupholstery

A good frame deserves a second life

Sofas and suites are often built far better than anything you would buy to replace them. We strip the old cover, sort the springs, webbing and foam, and recover the piece in the fabric or leather you choose.

Leather sofa repairs

Told it can’t be fixed? Ask us first

Split seams, worn arms, cracked panels, collapsed cushions and sagging bases. We replace the panel or the padding rather than the whole sofa, and match the leather as closely as the hide allows.

Recliners

Mechanisms, padding and covers

Recliners wear in specific places: the headrest, the arm you lean on, the footrest edge. We rebuild the padding, recover the panels and sort the mechanism so it works as it should.

Made to measure, in any fabric

Panelled, buttoned, plain or trimmed. We build headboards to the width of your bed and the height of your wall, so the room gets the piece it was missing.

Dining chairs & benches

Sets recovered, benches built to match

Drop seats and fully upholstered dining chairs, recovered in sets so they match again. If you need an extra couple of chairs or a bench to go with them, we make those too.

Car, van & vehicle seats

Seats you cannot buy any more

Bucket seats with collapsed bolsters, van benches worn through, camper and boat cushions. We rebuild the foam and retrim in cloth, vinyl or leather, keeping the original shape and stitching lines.

Garden & metal furniture

Not just fabric

Cast and wrought-iron benches, bistro sets and swing seats come in rusted and go out refinished. We also make new cushions for outdoor furniture in fabrics that cope with the weather.

When nothing in the shops is the right size, we make it. Sofas, corner units, dining benches and chairs built in the workshop to your measurements, in your choice of fabric or leather.

Small jobs

The odd things, often done while you wait

Not every job is a sofa. These are the kinds of things people drop in with.

Pram and buggy bars

A chewed bumper bar recovered in a child-safe material that will not chip or break.

Cushion refills

Seat and back cushions refilled with new foam or fibre so they sit up again.

Footstools and pouffes

Recovered to match a suite, or made new from your fabric.

Kitchen and bar stools

Ripped vinyl tops replaced in wipe-clean material.

Loose covers and zips

Broken zips, replacement loose covers and arm caps.

Anything else with a seat

Office chairs, piano stools, church kneelers, tractor seats. Ask.
